Who Is Sabrina Carpenter?

The 26-year-old singer first burst onto the scene as the star of the Disney channel spinoff of Boy Meets World called Girl Meets World. She maintained her starring role on the series throughout its run from 2014-2017. It was with the show’s premiere that she released her debut single, “Can’t Blame a Girl for Trying,” which was followed up by her debut album, Eyes Wide Open

After leaving Disney-owned Hollywood Records for Island Records in 2021, she released her fifth studio album, Emails I Can’t Send. This album peaked at #23 on the Billboard 200. Her 2023 release, Short n’ Sweet, marked her as one of the rising stars within the pop world as singles “Espresso,” “Please Please Please,” and “Taste” became her first Top 3 Billboard appearances, along with her first Grammy wins.

EVOLution

EVOLution debuted at #28 on the Billboard 200, led by the singles “On Purpose” and “Thumbs.” The latter made it to #1 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart. The single “Why” served as her second entrance on that chart, rising to #21.

Singular Act II

Carpenter followed that album up with Singular: Act II in 2019, which included promo performances on Good Morning America. In a break from previously released music, this album touched on more personal themes like anxiety and self-reflection.

Short N’ Sweet

The most prolific release to date from Carpenter, Short n’ Sweet released in early 2024. With the singles mentioned above, she became the first artist since the Beatles to chart their first three top-five hits within a single week.
