Hoopla’s July Reading Challenge

July is a month to get away, if we’re lucky. Take a vacation with Hoopla’s July Reading Challenge, Tales in Transit. All these titles have fast-moving plots and characters who are on the go. You can read these in transit too, because Hoopla makes it easy to bring your books with you, either in eBook or audiobook form. And if you’re staying put, these novels will offer a little escape!

For this challenge, we’ve created a Hoopla collection of some of our favorite reads that fit into our July Reading Challenge. Here are a few highlights, all available for free and with no waiting on Hoopla:

The Other Miss Bridgerton by Julia Quinn:

Adventurous Poppy Bridgerton is kidnapped by pirates and ends up aboard Captain Andrew Rokesby’s ship—sparking a battle of wits, unexpected passion, and a love that defies duty and scandal.

Everyone On this Train is a Suspect by Benjamin Stevenson:

A crime-writing festival aboard the Ghan turns deadly when one author is murdered—leaving six crime writers, all suspects and experts in murder, to solve the case…or cover it up.

Loose Lips by Kemper Donovan:

A ghostwriter boards a literary cruise hosted by her frenemy, expecting drama—not murder. But when guests fall ill and one turns up dead, she must solve the mystery before tensions explode.

One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston:

August is a cynical 23-year-old who doesn’t believe in love—until she meets Jane, a mysterious subway girl from the 1970s who just might make her believe in the impossible.

Death In the Clouds by Agatha Christie:

On a flight from Paris to London, Hercule Poirot must solve a murder committed midair—when a woman is found dead in seat two, and the killer is likely nearby.

All these novel getaways are available on Hoopla, free with your library card.
