What Are the Themes in Wings of Fire?

The Wings of Fire books dive into friendship, destiny, and how power and war can change people, all through the eyes of young dragons. It shows how important empathy and acceptance are, especially across differences. The series also reminds us that heroes aren’t just strong; they’re smart, compassionate, and shaped by the choices they make, not just where they come from.

Who Are the Main Characters in Wings of Fire?

Each arc has its own set of main characters. Here are the main characters in Arc 1:

Clay (MudWing)

Clay (MudWing): The big, soft-hearted guy of the group who’s always thinking about snacks and keeping everyone safe. He’s super loyal and basically acts like everyone’s bodyguard.

Tsunami (SeaWing)

Tsunami (SeaWing): Bold, sharp-tongued, and always ready for a fight. As a royal SeaWing, she hates being told what to do and tends to jump into action first, think later.

Glory (RainWing)

Glory (RainWing): Started off overlooked, but it turns out she’s clever, blunt, and totally leadership material. She rises way above expectations, big time.

Starflight (NightWing)

Starflight (NightWing): The quiet, book-obsessed thinker who’d rather study than fight. He’s smart but second-guesses himself a lot.

Sunny (SandWing)

Sunny (SandWing): The smallest one, but full of positivity and determination. People underestimate her, but she’s actually a great problem-solver and brings everyone together.
