Mychal the Librarian is Mychal Threets. He is a librarian (of course!) and a literary ambassador from Connecticut. He grew up spending lots of time in his local library, getting his first library card at age five, eventually becoming the supervising librarian.
Mychal loves libraries just as much as we do at Hoopla, and this love of libraries recently resulted in him earning a role as the new host of the classic PBS show, Reading Rainbow, formerly hosted by LaVar Burton. Returning to viewers homes’ via YouTube, the series is returning after a hiatus of nearly two decades. We’re eager to watch him deliver the joy of reading to a new generation of children all across the globe!
