Lincoln Peirce draws on his own sixth-grade days, as well as his days as a teacher, to create Nate’s world. Once in a while, Peirce lets Nate doodle his own adventures.
Francis Pope
Francis is Nate’s best friend, next-door neighbor, and bandmate, and he’s calm throughout Nate’s chaos. A top student and trivia enthusiast, Francis is tidy, rule-abiding, and a proud cat owner. Loyal and sensible, Francis keeps Nate’s wild schemes in check while always standing by his friend.
Teddy Ortiz
Teddy is Nate’s laid-back, funny best friend and co-conspirator, often cracking annoying jokes. The sporty member of the trio, he plays keyboard in their band and serves as a calming bridge between Nate and Francis. Half-Mexican, half-Puerto Rican, he’s fluent in Spanish and endlessly loyal.
Dee Dee Holloway
Dee Dee is Nate’s friend, Drama Club president, and a key member of the group. Dramatic and excitable, she’s a talented, creative actress who loves compliments and frequently helps Nate out of trouble. She’s known for catchphrases like “dramatic!” and “fabulous!” and brings flair to every adventure.
