Who wrote Curious George?
A husband-and-wife team, Margret and H.A. Rey, wrote and drew the stories about this curious little monkey. (For the first few books, only H.A.’s name was on the cover.) Margret did a little more of the writing and H.A. was the primary illustrator, but both spouses took on both roles in creating the books.
How old is Curious George?
The first Curious George book, Curious George, was published in 1941. That was 85 years ago! Even though he’s been around for 85 years, the monkey in the books is around two years old.
When is Curious George’s birthday?
Curious George’s honorary birthday is September 16, which was H.A. Rey’s birthday.
